Surgical tooth extraction is a common, safe and sometimes quick procedure performed in-chair by your dentist.
The length of time it takes varies from just a few minutes to over an hour depending on the complexity of your condition, tooth type and the number of teeth being removed. For example, an impacted wisdom tooth will take significantly longer to remove than a much smaller, canine tooth.
During the procedure, a local anaesthetic is used to numb the area so that you do not feel any pain or discomfort. In cases where a tooth is too difficult to pull, it is removed in pieces. Once the tooth has been removed, a blood clot will form in the socket and the dentist will apply a gauze pad to help stop the bleeding. Sometimes the dentist will place a few self-dissolving stitches, to close the gum edges over the extraction site.

Atria Dental is conveniently located on Pacific Highway in Gordon. The clinic is less than 200m from Gordon train station and 10m from the nearest bus stop. The clinic is fully pram/wheelchair accessible and has no stairs from door to surgery.
The clinic is a mere 11 minute drive from Macquarie Centre and a 5 minute drive from the Gordon Golf Club near Killara.
If you wish to drive to the clinic, 2 hour parking can be found in a car park on Moree Street behind the practice, alternatively there is another private carpark across the road. If you require a more than 2 hours, street parking is available further down Moree Street.
